Storytelling Through Songwriting: In this class, we explore the bridge between personal inspiration as a songwriter and relatability and connectivity with the listening audience.   We explore writing techniques through lyrical, harmonic, and melodic functions.  It’s all about going beyond the music to truly connect with the listener.

Relentless: This class is all about the drive.  Passion, persistence, grit, and all the things you need to survive as an independent artist.  From practice strategies, touring and recording to social media follies, this class can help you organize your goals and begin to navigate the ever-changing waters of the music industry.

About the Music- One of the hardest things about performance in songwriting  is how personal it is- so many artists leave their best material in their living room, only for their dogs to hear.  I’ve met so many incredible composers who allow their ego to dictate their performance, and not in a good way.  This class is based off of the most important advice I’ve ever been given “it’s not about you, it’s about the music” and is all about getting yourself out of your own way so you can do the most important thing- make music.
